Keyser Soze's Unofficial XP Security Pack comprises of 90% security hotfixes & 10% critical hotfixes (for pc stability). The package is not meant as a replacement for Windows Update, it has been compiled so that you can quickly and easily update your system after a reinstall of Windows.Before beginning installation, you should be aware of the following:- You must close all currently open programs.- You must choose a Custom Installation if the officialMicrosoft Windows XP SP1 or SP1a is already installed.- The following are not included in this Security Packinstallation - MSN Messenger updates, Windows MediaPlayer updates, Movie Maker updates, Java VirtualMachine updates & Media Center Edition updates.*(It is further recommended if you have Tiny Personal Firewallinstalled, that you disable it before beginning installation).Windows must be rebooted after installation, in order for all securityupdates to be applied successfully.You can find detailed information on each Hotfix by choosing a Custom Installation and clicking on the individual update. You will find information relating to the name of the file, a link to the relevant Microsoft MSKB article and a description of why the Hotfix is needed.If you have Windows XP SP1 or SP1a already installed, you must choose a Custom Installation and deselect all files containing WXP_SP1_X86_ENU *Please be aware of the following:1/ If you have Internet Explorer SP1 installed, Q816868 will ask you ifyou would like to restart your computer - select No.2/ Be aware that Q814078 may cause conflicts with Tiny Personal Firewall.3/ There is no need to install Q331320 if you have 'Microsoft Office Beta 2'or 'Beta 2 Technical Refresh' installed.4/ I am still unable to figure a way to include Q318202, Q318203 & Q317244.Please get these updates from Windows Update.5/ Q811493_WXP_SP2_x86_ENU.rar is brought to you as an optional extra.Using your own discretion, you install this hotfix at your own risk -(Please read the enclosed documentation first!).What's New in This Release:· Added Q318089, Q319949, Q814995, Q816868, Q817606, Q821557, Q823559 & Q823980· Ammended & updated the information relating to Q815021· Added further details to the documentation included in the Q811493 rar file· Added more detailed information to the readme· Added an FAQs text file for all the people who kept asking me questions· Removed Q329170 as this was causing some users a few problems during setup· Updated the installation text on the Setup Assistant & updated the graphics to give it more of an XP feel· Simplified the name further to Keyser Soze's Unofficial XP Security Pack - final name change
