Key Customizer Description

Key Customizer is a program with a pretty self-explanatory name - it allows you to reconfigure the layout of your keyboard. It can be easily handled by individuals of any level of experience. This type of software can be of assistance if you work with the keyboard more than with the mouse, or if you are an avid video gamer. The interface of the tool is based on a standard window where you can select a key from the drop-down list to change into something else. Besides the general keys (numeric, number, enhanced), you can also assign keys to multimedia functions (e.g. turn off monitor, restart computer, open media, next track) and to extended keys - type text, key combination, or key sequence. In addition, you can reset one or all keys to their default values, make Key Customizer automatically run at system startup, as well as enable a hotkey to activate or suspend the program. The straightforward software application runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory, so it should not be a concern to the computer's resources. It has a good response time, quickly commits modifications and ran smoothly during our evaluation, without freezing, crashing or popping up error dialogs. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, Key Customizer's features can be easily figured out, even by inexperienced users. Unfortunately, no recent updates have been made.
