Karate 3D Description

Karate is an ancient form of martial art and self-defense method. Its name means "empty hands", meaning that the karate fighter can defend him/herself without the use of weapons. This game allows you to enter into a virtual Karate tournament to get promoted from the Apprentice level (white belt), to the upper ranks (black belt). The game has decent but not extraordinary graphics and sounds. An interesting characteristic is the possibility of choosing the camera angle, so you can view the fighting from different points of view. The program also allows you to fight against the computer, or to compete with a friend (in this case, you both will need to share the keyboard or to have independent game controls connected to your computer). The game includes only few of the real Karate techniques, namely, only two punches, two kicks and a sweep, so your attacks can't be very varied. Another of the game's disadvantages is that it does not includes on-screen directions, and if you are using the keyboard, you need to figure out by yourself what keys need to stroke to throw a particular kick or punch. Although this is a somewhat old game, it still requires a good graphics card and a good deal of RAM to run properly. The trial version only works during 30 minutes.
