Internet Kiosk Description

From UK Pay and Surf: Introduction Convert your pc's into a self service internet kiosk using UK Pay and Surf software together with our coin box, which includes a secure coin box and coin mechanism. You can purchase a coin box via www.ukpayandsurf.co.uk/prices.html. The coin box connects to your pc via a comm port (comm1) hence you must have a comm port to use this product, or use a usb to serial converter which can be purchased. You can also use one of our other products if you wish to use just the software for a non-self service internet kiosk. This will be used in situations where customers will pay for internet services via a counter. If you are using this method, you will require a logmein.com account. How it works After the software has been installed, the kiosk software will run on boot-up so that customers cannot get into the system, without your unique password. The front page will display websites which can be configured to suit the customer's needs. Once a coin (or credit) has been entered, the software will display your home page and start counting down the time value that has been set up. The machine allows customers to surf the internet until the time has expired (or they choose to log out). When this occurs, the software places the customers back to the home screen, ready for the next session. If customers put in more coins whilst they have surf time remaining, the software will add the coin value to the remaining time. Optional Extras - Software Products Window washer - Deletes all history, cookies and user data after the browser is closed. Fartronics - Deep freeze - This will freeze your pc kiosk so that each time the pc is re-booted all stored data will be reset to the frozen point. Optional Configuration Screen size should be set to 1024 x 768 - right click desktop > settings > screen resolution. Bios update - change power option to restart after power has been resumed (allows users to turn the power off at the end of the day instead of closing down each machine). Bios update - Admin password option to stop other users changing any bios options. Change c:/menu1.xml to your own website preferences.
