Protects your privacy, and protects your family from engaging in questionable Internet activities.Internet Guard Dog is a comprehensive suite that protects your privacy, your computer, and shields your family from the more unsavory aspects of the Internet. Using a variety of monitors and security measures, it alerts you to and protects you from hidden and often questionable Internet activities. It gives you absolute control over cookies and personal information (password, contact, and credit card/bank information) that's silently provided to Internet servers. If you like, you can build lists of servers from which you will and won't accept cookies. You can also choose to be alerted when unauthorized programs attempt to access the Internet, automatically clean up your Internet cache and history files each time you close your browser, and build lists of protected files on your computer, selecting specific programs that are allowed to access them. An unauthorized access attempt results in a warning, with the option of allowing or denying access by that particular program. Other features include multiuser support with variable security levels, web filtering, chat filtering, password protection, and more. Excellent documentation is included.
