ImagePurge is a small, simple and easy-to-use tool thatanalyzes web pages and finds/removes orphan images.If you design web pages and your designs incorporate a lot of images, ImagePurge is for you. ImagePurge is a simple, free tool. It can determine whether there are orphan images in a folder. It accomplishes this by comparing local web pages (HTML, PHP, text, JS files etc.) to existing images (JPEG/JPG, GIF, PNG etc.). If unreferenced images exist, you will be notified about it. Furthermore, ImagePurge can create MS-DOS batch files, that will move the orphan images to a separate folder and you can also save a log file.Examples of situations where ImagePurge is helpful:· Your website consists of image slices (e.g. made with Adobe Photoshop / ImageReady, Splitz or another image slicer)· You created a lot of images for your site, but used only some of them· You've lost track of which images are referenced and which are not· You have limited web space and must minimize the amount of images you uploadNote: ImagePurge was designed for small to medium sized web sites with a up to few hundred images or pages.
