Editor's review: All cartoon lovers must be aware of lazy Garfield and his owner Jon Arbuckle that were created by Jim Davis way back in 1978. Together with Jon’s beagle dog Odie; all three of them are a happy family of sorts. The main character Garfield is an orange hued lazy and frizzy cat that was born in an Italian restaurant’s kitchen and absolutely relishes lasagna. The comic strip since its advent has been hugely successful and popular across the world owing to Garfield’s funny and irritable acts that have been adapted to the big screen too in the form of motion pictures with moderate success ratio. This brilliant comic caper has been further included as a gaming application called Garfield - Caught in the Act 1.0 that presents another one of this witty cat’s acts. Garfield - Caught in the Act opens with a vivid looking interface with the main options placed at the corners and background screen displaying black and white graphics with only Garfield and some objects placed as colored. The game premises on the incident when Garfield gets sucked inside a television set and sets upon some weird escapades must escape from it before Jon wakes up. The player needs to help this fellow get back in real world and cross different levels that would test the cats’ skills and sharp wit. There are pyramids, caves and streets to cross along with surviving some haunted mansions to cross all the levels and Garfield certainly needs Odie to accomplish this task and to combat enemies and hideous weapons. To conclude, Garfield - Caught in the Act 1.0 certainly provides a fun factor to the Garfield series of journeys and incidents and hence gets a rating score of four points for its interesting premise and functions.
