GPS Description
The Genome Positioning System (GPS) is a software tool to study protein-DNA interaction using ChIP-Seq data. GPS builds a probabilistic mixture model to predict the most likely positions of binding events at single-base resolution. GPS is a Java software, so it runs on multiple platforms, including Mac OS X, Windows, Unix and Linux. GPS is multi-threaded, allowing users to take advantage of multi-core CPU. It has been published on Bioinformatics. 2010 Oct 21. . PMID: 20966006. Get GPS and take it for a spin to see what it can actually do for you! Main features: Achieve high spatial resolution on predicting binding events Resolve closely spaced (less than 500bp) events that appear as a single cluster of reads Process multiple dataset simultaneously to align common events across distinct experiments
