Flood Ping Break Point Tester Description

A utility for isolating packet loss problems with High Speed Internet Connectivity (Broadband). This utility implements in the Windows Environment the flood ping option found in the UNIX ping utility (-f option), however it does so with a useful twist. It increases packet size until packet loss is detected while providing a visual representation of the packet timings allow the user to interpret potential causes for a packet loss problem. Thus this utility finds the breakpoint for any Data Path which translates to the current Capacity/reliability of the data path (point A-to-B) being measured. To Prevent this utility from being used in a Flood Ping Attack, special code has been incorporated into the product to notify the network being measured via Syslog as well as other special limiting/detection code. This product is intended for use by network professionals not network vandals.
