Elementary English Grammar and Vocabulary Practice is a simple software tool, built in Java, which helps people improve, as the name hints at, their English grammar and vocabulary skills. This is a portable utility, which means the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to get updated with new entries, and no traces will remain after its removal from the hard drive. By dropping the program files to a USB stick, users are able to run Elementary English Grammar and Vocabulary Practice on any computer they have access to, with just a few clicks, and without needing to deal with the installation process. This app encompasses five types of activities, namely, spelling food and drinks against the clock, choosing the correct word that describes a picture from a drop-down list, spelling verbs at the simple past tense, correct mistakes, and spell dates in full. After completing a test, you can view the results, with total number of questions, which ones where correct and which not, accuracy (expressed as percentage), number of attempts and time. It is possible to print a certificate of achievement with scores in all activities, as well as an overall score and accuracy. Aside from that, you can share your results with friends, by posting them on Facebook. You can also tinker a bit with the interface, in the sense that you can change the theme, text size, attempts icons and sound effects, with others provided by the developer.
