Diplomacy's abstracted and simple game play puts the focus on the need for shrewd negotiations and overall strategy. Paradox Interactive computerized version of Diplomacy is a careful adaptation that maintains the fundamental rules of the board game. The computer game will follow its philosophy of being easy to learn but hard to master. Paradox has released the first Diplomacy patch bringing the game up to version 1.3. The patch brings along a couple of new features including private player-to-player chat, which of course will be very handy when plotting evil schemes against enemies. It is now possible to view other players finished games through the ladder interface. This also allows you to download the games and view them in singleplayer mode, where you can analyse the moves and strategies of the champions.
