Although it does theoretically only work for linear, time invariant systems, you can also get a rough idea of the transfer function and all the other Mojo if you only apply a window to remove Artifacts. In the above screenshot an unknown nonlinear device has been used. Only a dry and a wet music signal were given, but I was able to find out that upsampling was used (see steep cut-off around Nyquist Frequency).
