Chart Viewer Description

Big companies play an important role in the flow of economy, being one of the main reasons why some choose to earn a living through the stock market. Thanks to the Internet, anyone can quickly grab the freshest info to process and use. In this regard, Chart Viewer attempts to help you decide when building a stock market portfolio, by quickly providing stock info.Slightly difficult to figure out Running the application for the first time brings up the main window, which is not necessarily visually appealing and might make you look away. Little effort was put into the design, and without already knowing what the application is about, you have a difficult time figuring out, especially because of the lack of documentation. Little to no practicabilityThere is little the application can do by itself, other than retrieving a chart view of custom tickers, as the name suggests, little else properly functions. What's more, you need to have some degree of knowledge, because the application does not come equipped with a list of symbols and tickers to use as search criteria. If you do happen to know your way around, writing down corresponding text in its proper field and hitting the “Load Chart” button quickly returns a result. However fast and accurate the result may be, it serves no other purpose than momentarily getting informed. Far from being a pro of its kindThis is because the chart is displayed in a small area regardless of how much you stretch the main window borders. What's more, there's no implemented function to save at least an image of the gathered result. The main window is also equipped with two text fields, the purpose of which is not quite clear. Another option the application only attempts to provide is the possibility to create watchlists. However, the resulting file can only be opened by this application, and other than ticker symbols, nothing else is displayed. In conclusionTaking everything into consideration, we can say that Chart Viewer is a poor choice when it comes to utilities that help you be a heavy player in the stock market. Sure, the source can be trusted and the result is almost instantly provided, bu the overall design and implementation of functions leave a lot more to be desired.
