Band theory Description

This is a small and very easy to use program that will help you study and better understand band theory. Band theory of solids can be understood by the application of molecular orbital theory to the whole crystal. That is the whole crystal is treated like a single molecule and the molecular orbitals form bands. This band structure is useful for explaining many properties of solids.
