Autorun Kicker Description

Autorun Kicker is a lightweight and portable application that monitors local, removable and network drives for the autorun.inf virus and blocks it. It can be seamlessly used, even by individuals with little or no experience in software tools. Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop the executable file on any spot on the hard disk and run it directly. It is also possible to move Autorun Kicker to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort. What's important to mention is that the Windows Registry area does not get entry updates, and files do not remain on the hard drive after removing the program. At initialization, Autorun Kicker creates an icon in the system tray area, from where you can open its context menu to bring up the Options panel and make some adjustments. Therefore, you can specify which drives to monitor, between local hard disks, removable media and network drives, enable alerts, disable the autorun feature on the current computer, as well as make the tool automatically run at system startup. There are no other notable options available through this tool. Autorun Kicker uses a barely noticeable quantity of CPU and system memory, so it's not a concern to the computer's overall performance. It has a good response time and performed well throughout our testing, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. However, Autorun Kicker has not seen any updates for a long time.
