If you are a network administrator and have a problem with people leaving their systems logged in, the KMCS AutoLogoff/Shutdown screensaver (ALS) is for you. Users who leave their systems unattended for long periods of time post a security risk as their account can be used by anybody. With ALS set up as the screensaver, the idle user would be logged off or the system would be shut down automatically! If your company or organization closes after a certain time and you want all the systems shut down after a certain time, you can configure ALS to work with your schedule. Say your company closes at 8 in the evening. ALS would log off users up until 8, and shutdown the system after 8, solving two problems at once! ALS is available as a non-crippled test version which simply displays a notice on the countdown screen stating that it is illegal for use other than evaluation.
