SQL using code snippets, templates and more could be used for editing operations. The editor also provides for translation of SQL code into a many programming languages. Auto-completion lets you create code fragments and constructs. Auto-complete feature is supplemented by a drop down pick list making the process even faster. Auto-complete object details will let you view details. Long runs of code can be encapsulated into database objects. Pre-written code snippets and templates could be saved and re-used. Performance profiling of the code gives you clues for SQL formatting and re-factoring. Code refactoring support has some meaningful features. These include change parameters, encapsulate as view, one-to-many relationships could be replaced with associative tables and surrogate keys could be added. Syntax highlighting, version aware editing, object search, in-built support of source control systems are some of the useful features. The editor supports all MSSCCI compliant versioning systems. Expansion of wild cards, code profiler, code snippets, auto-replacement, SQL debug, copy SQL code as, are some of the other useful features. This has a simple and easy to use interface. It is intuitive enough that most users should get familiar with it quite easily. Getting productive with it should not take much time. This is a very good product.
