vocPuppy Description

vocPuppy is a Microsoft Office add-in running under Microsoft Windows operating systems that inexpensively allows users to integrate taxonomies into their everyday information creation and organization work. All you need to run vocPuppy is a PC. The required database is supplied by WebChoir. vocPuppy works with any Windows system, including Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows 98. The vocPuppy Enterprise Edition also requires a Web server that can be any popular Web server such as IIS or Apache. vocPuppy thoroughly checks duplications and conflicts before committing any data to the database to guarantee the integrity of your data. vocPuppy is based completely on Microsoft Office architecture that enables taxonomies or controlled vocabularies created by TO to be accessible in any Microsoft Office document. And vocPuppy can be activated in any Microsoft document with a simple mouse click. vocPuppy provides a simple and flexible interface to allow its integration with any MS Office™ application. After vocPuppy is installed, a TO button appears on the menu bar of any Microsoft Office application. The user can activate vocPuppy by simply clicking that button when desired. After one or multiple values are selected from vocPuppy, these values are returned and pasted automatically where the cursor is pointed in the Microsoft Office document. vocPuppy can be used in any Microsoft Office document and in a variety of ways to meet your particular needs. You can export vocPuppy thesaurus into ASCII and XML. Standard thesaurus reports such as Alphabetical, Hierarchical, and Rotated. vocPuppy lets you publish and distribute your thesaurus in many ways.
