Edit By synaptiks is a KDE touchpad management tool. Aside of a convenient configuration interface it can also manage the touchpad automatically and disable it, if external mouse devices are plugged in or the keyboard is active. See Changes for a list of changes. Installation The following sections describe the manual installation. You might want to check the list of Packages for binary releases. Dependencies The following libraries are required to build synaptiks: * KDE libraries and KDE base runtime 4.3 or newer (earlier releases may also work, but are untested) * libXi 1.2 or newer (part of X.org 7.5) Additionally xf86-input-synaptics 1.2 or newer must be loaded, while synaptiks is running. xf86-input-synaptics 1.0 and 1.1 might work, but are untested. xf86-input-synaptics 0.x is not supported.
