qpure Description

qpure is developed as an accessible and handy R-package that allows you to estimate tumour purity or cellularity using single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data from tumour/normal paired samples. The advantages of using the qpure method for the estimation of tumour cellularity is that it is an unbiased statistical approach which directly measures tumour content from the sample which the DNA was extracted. Our recent study (manuscript in preparation) suggests that the qpure method is an essential tool for estimating tumour cellularity prior to performing high-throughput sequencing on cancer samples. This vignette gives a tutorial-style introduction to the function in the qpure package. The functions provide the qpure score for each sample given their genome-wide SNP pro les as generated from illumina SNP chips.
