oraPumper Description

oraPumper was developed in order to provide you with an easy to use GUI for Oracle Data Pump utility. oraPumper uses Oracle Data Pump API that is built in the standard database package DBMS_DATAPUMP. Furthermore, oraPumper tool provides several useful features that allow end database users to create, monitor and manage Oracle Data Pump Jobs and dump files that actually contain data in a more convenient way. Oracle Data Pump utility is introduced in Oracle10g Release 1 version 10.1.0 and available in all latest Oracle RDBMS versions. Oracle Data Pump is a more powerful tool than traditional Oracle Export/Import utilities and enables much more efficient way for data/metadata movement. Oracle Corporation provides two command line utilities expdp and impdp which allow you to work with Oracle Data Pump technology. Oracle RDBMS also provides you with PL/SQL API that enables you to access Data Pump functionality through PL/SQL programs.
