iDumpPod2iTunes Description

iDumpPod2iTunes is a music backup and restore utility. It has been designed to allow you to retrieve your music files from the iPod in case of a system crash. It works with iTunes. And, if you are running iTunes on a Windows PC, chances are that it'll crash at least once taking your music library down with it. Fear not, though. I am sure millions of Windows users world-wide have been in these shoes at least once. I have. If your music files are still on your iPod, you can simply use this application to retrieve them and put them in your local iTunes playlist again. Of course, it would be simpler to copy them to the hard drive again, wouldn't it? Yes, but you can't simply copy your music from an iPod, because of a thing called DRM. That's where iDumpPod2Itunes is needed. The application is a wizard that guides you through the process of downloading music from your iPod and into your iTunes. I tried a 5g iPod and an iPod Shuffle and they both were supported. However, my iPhone wasn't, although the application says it is supposed to work. Oh well, I just hope it isn't crashed. The application requires iTunes to be installed on your computer. There is a lot of useful information displayed in tabs, with some guides on how to recover from a complete system crash. The program does have its problems, though. I suffered several unexpected program crashes within the first minutes of having installed it.
