atMonitor Description

atMonitor is the most advanced Mac OS X system monitor and Process Explorer utility. Data is collected and displayed in the "Activity Viewer", with a choice of using a beautifully designed floating window that blends right into the desktop without being distracting, or installed in the menu bar leaving your desktop untouched, or both. Some of the unique features include GPU and FPS monitoring as well as the ability to manipulate processes. atMonitor can also be set to log collected information and save it to XML file for further investigation. Triggers can be setup to execute scripts when given resource reaches its target value. Developers will appreciate the ability to monitor system resources that include the top 3 most CPU hungry processes, CPU, CPU Temperature, RAM, GPU, GPU Temperature, VRAM, FPS, Disk I/O and Net I/O. Any BSD signal can be sent to any process. The Impact of atMonitor itself on the system resources is Minimal as it has been highly optimzed for speed, memory and CPU usage. System administrators will have the ability to setup triggers to execute scripts as a way to keep track of the system resource usage. Set of priorities can be setup and automatically applied to specific processes (renice). Power users will enjoy the "top" window which combines the best features of both "top" and "ps" commands. No longer will the running processes remain a mystery as atMonitor will display their names, description, full path, arguments, environment, linked libraries, opened files as well as the "MAN Pages" (for those processes that have them).
