Zip Self-Extractor Creator is an application developed to convert ZIP archives to self-extracting executables. The program doesn’t require advanced computer knowledge and the GUI is the one that makes everything a breeze, with a “one window does it all” approach to take care of this. You shouldn’t spend too much time to figure out what to do next because the app initially requires users to select the ZIP file, an exe file and a title. There are some optional settings too, including an icon file for the self-extracting item and 128/256-bit AES encryption. In addition, users are allowed to choose a file name of the EXE within the ZIP archive, but also to define the command line arguments passed to the executable file. Zip Self-Extractor Creator can extract files either to an automatically-created temporary directory or to a pre-defined folder. The application works on all Windows on the market and although no help file is included in the package, those with a bit more computer experience shouldn’t encounter any problem. All things considered, Zip Self-Extractor Creator is an interesting piece of software, although we all agree that there are still some things to be revised. While the app was developed to be easy to use, rookies that need more information on a specific feature have no other option than to search online, as a help section is missing completely from the package.
