You Need a Budget Pro Description

YNAB (You Need A Budget) Pro is money management software at its simplest, most effective, finest form. This professionally-designed software enforces the Four Rules of Cash Flow. If you've been searching for a budgeting solution that will require less time and give you more results, you just may have found it. Both YNAB and YNAB Pro function using a basic Register, with all of its transactions flowing into the Budget. I'll walk through those two areas first, then highlight the areas that YNAB Pro boasts on its own. Sometimes it's the little things that count. With the design of YNAB Pro, that was definitely a focus. The receipt splitter is great for recording those big receipts (think Wal-Mart). The nice things about it: it keeps track of the total of your receipt, but you can drill into the sub-transactions to see which categories were hit from your purchase. You Need a Budget Pro lets you know how much of the receipt total is still unassigned, and...well, there's a lot to it. But the point is that it saves you time entering big receipts. And that's a big deal. If there is any one feature that has had the biggest impact on the amount of time (or lack thereof) the YNAB system requires, this is definitely the Scheduler. The Scheduler is intuitive, straight-forward, and simple to use. I currently use it to enter all of my automatic paycheck deductions: health, disability, and life insurance, 401(k) and Roth contributions, etc. I also use it to enter my rent payment (monthly), magazine subscription (annually), and car insurance premium (quarterly). I use it to enter my paycheck (on the 15th and 30th) and our gym dues (monthly). It handles pretty much every timeframe: every other week, every week, twice per month, once per quarter...you get the idea.
