Besides, it converts audio files from various formats into MP3. The program can act as a CD ripper and save the tracks of an audio CD as MP3 files. The program offers a sophisticated and modern user interface. However, it is also intuitive and easy to use. It allows you to add your source video or audio files individually, or select them automatically from entire folders. The supported files are then appended to the conversion list, as the program supports batch processing. Alternatively, you can load the contents of an audio CD. It comes with a small but comprehensive built-in media player that you can use to preview your source files, both video and audio files. It even allows you to take snapshots of the videos while playing. When working in Basic mode, for each resulting MP3 file you can only define its name, choose the output quality among High, Normal and Low, and select the number of channels (Mono or Stereo). Optionally, you can also type or paste the song's lyrics. Nevertheless, you can use the Advanced mode to customize the output sample and bit rates, the volume level, the encoding method (CBR or VBR), and the VBR quality. You can open the “Advanced Profile Settings” panel, which is actually a separate window where you can also configure all those advanced parameters. And to top it all off, the program lets you fill in various ID3 tags, such as the author’s name, the album, the track number, the year, and the copyright status, among others. Finally, before starting the extraction or conversion process, you can establish the destination folder where you would like your MP3 files to be stored. Once it has started, you can pause or stop it at any time. In addition, you will see a small CPU-usage indicator working in real-time.
