After a brief and eventful setup procedure, you are greeted by a simple window with a clear-cut structure, where you can immediately start typing code. Familiar tools and settingsIt comes loaded with standard text formatting options, such as inserting numbered and bulleted lists, along with images. You can add separators, hyperlinks, directories and tables, preview the screen reader, use a search and replace function, undo actions to correct any mistakes, as well as show images as text. When it comes to paragraphs, you can edit properties pertaining to the core attributes (class, ID, description), internationalization (language, direction), along with events. Custom commands can be executed too. Syntax highlighting is supported, and you can also activate a spellchecker. Meanwhile, image properties can be edited in terms of image URL, decorative image status, alternate text, long description URL, size, whether to constrain proportions or not, and so on. Evaluation and conclusionNo error dialogs popped up in our tests, and the software application did not hang or crash. It has a good response time and minimal impact on computer performance, using low CPU and RAM. Bottom line is that XStandard Pro comes loaded with numerous advanced functions and settings for an XHTML editor, so you can definitely give it a shot.
