XPS Split and Merge Description

XPS Split and Merge is a software tool which can help people split multipage documents into separate files, merge several items and extract specified pages into one single XPS. The interface is fairly simple and sports a classical design, very similar to the one used in the Windows 98 and 95 operating systems. Aside from that, any type of person can easily work with it, experience not being a key factor in using XPS Split and Merge. You can add files by simply clicking the “Open” button. A small drawback here is the fact that the “drag and drop” function is not integrated, as it could have enhanced ease of use significantly. The main window contains several buttons, a panel to view the number of pages uploaded and another one in which to display the XPS document. In order to take all the actions that were advertised, all you have to do is click the appropriately named buttons, choose the output folder and input a file name. In addition to that, there are some arrows which enable you to change the order of the pages or the uploaded documents. There are no Help contents provided by the developers, yet seeing how easy it is to use this software utility, it becomes apparent that they are not actually needed. Another small setback is the fact that the interface does not support multiple languages, as it would have helped non-native English speakers get around much faster. All in all, XPS Split and Merge is a useful piece of software for people interested in merging and splitting XPS document, as well as extracting selected pages into one file. CPU and memory usage is minimal and time response is good. However, the interface could use a little bit more work. Reviewed by Madalina Boboc, last updated on December 12th, 2013
