Wwhois Description

The WHOIS protocol is widely used for searching for information about the registered users of an Internet resource such as a server hosting a domain. Wwhois is a simple utility that can retrieve such details, as long as they are not protected by the owner of the domain. The application is console-based, which means that the Command Prompt is necessary for using the tool. Once the domain name is typed in the application initiates the search and pulls in as many details as it can find. The information it makes available includes not just the domain name, the registrar and whois server but also the administrative contact, record expiration date and the date of its creation. Depending on the amount of details unlocked the application can show various contact information (email, phone numbers) as well as a physical address. Keep in mind that all information retrieved from the database that has been interrogated is provided only for information purposes and there is no guarantee on its accuracy.
