Windows Media Lite Description

Windows Media Lite is an application that restores Windows Media Player (WMP) modules needed to play WMP files within web browsers and other media players. This usually happens when using specialized tools to remove Windows Media Player from the system, since they do not filter components, so they eliminate everything instead. User assistance is not necessary once you have selected the modules you want to restore to the computer, which makes Windows Media Lite ideal even for novices. The package includes Windows Media codecs, format runtimes, Player 6.4 ActiveX control, core components and Internet Explorer plugin, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape and Opera plugins, along with audio codecs. An unattended installation can be carried out using command-line parameters. It is possible to install codecs and WMF runtimes, codecs only, or everything, as well as to make a custom selection (e.g. Windows Media codecs - DirectShow, DMO, VCM). The application is very light on the system resources during the installation procedure, and it quickly finishes the task. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash.
