WinMLS 2000 is sound-card based software for high quality audio, acoustics and vibrational measurements. WinMLS is aimed at professionals, but also for non-commercial users, such as home audio enthusiasts (DVD Audio Ripper for Mac) and students. This is possible because of its ease of use, low-cost personal license and no need for specialized hardware. Note that the personal licenses are allowed for personal and class-room usage only, and not for commercial usage or research. If a personal license is lost because of a harddisk crash or other reasons, we can not help and a new license must be purchased. We offer no support on the personal versions and you should use the free evaluation period (Free DVD Decoder) to test the software before purchasing. We have professional users worldwide. All important parameters are user configurable through a measurement setup and a post-processing setup. Two plot-types can be viewed simultaneously, so you can change the windowing of the impulse response and immediately see how it affects the frequency response. Room-Acoustics specifications: The room acoustics post processing module for WinMLS calculates parameters according to the ISO 3382 (1997) standard: Reverberation time, early decay time, early-to-late indices, definition, centre time, strength, speech transmission index (including octave band corrections for background noise), rapid speech transmission index, and the stage acoustics parameter support. Parameters also calculated in double-octaves or without filtering. Two channel options like lateral fraction and inter-aural crosscorrelation are also provided. In addition, the new parameter late lateral strength is included. Digital filtering in octave and 1/3-octave bands according to the IEC 1260 (1995) standard.
