WiigionFree Description

WiigionFree is a simple application that allows you to change the region of your Wii ISO files. It can be seamlessly handled, whether you are a first-time or experienced user. Since this is a Java-based tool, installation is not a prerequisite. So, you can simply extract the archive contents to any location on the hard drive and run the JAR file. Alternatively, you can store WiigionFree on a USB flash drive, external hard drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer that has Java pre-installed. This way, you can keep the app with you whenever you're on the move. What should be mentioned is that WiigionFree does not work with the Windows Registry section, and does not leave files behind after removing it. The interface of the utility is based on a standard window with a minimalistic layout. The "what you see is what you get" principle clearly applies to the tool, as there are no other options available, aside from the ones visible in the main frame. So, once you select the source ISO file, you can specify the new region type (NTSC_J, NTSC_U or PAL), output directory and file name, and initialize the procedure by clicking the Patch button. WiigionFree runs on a moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and finishes a task swiftly, without causing any problems, such as making the operating system hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, first-time users should quickly figure out how to work with WiigionFree. Reviewed by Elena Opris, last updated on May 27th, 2013
