WMP 12 Library Background Skin Changer is a handy application that allows you to change the way your library is displayed in Windows Media Player. As the name suggests, it is designed to change the library background by providing you with multiple alternatives. Windows Media Player is a widely used software for watching movies, playing DVD’s and listening to music. However, its customization possibilities leave a lot of room for improvement, compared with similar products. This program aims to improve the aspect of the library by changing its background image. It features a simple interface and allows you to preview the image before applying it to the library. Basically, all you need to do is launch the app and choose the image you want to set as the default background. The modification requires you to restart the Windows Media Player if the program is already running. Unfortunately, the application only allows you to use one of the six images included in the Media Player installation. You cannot use your own images by changing the files supplied in the archive. Actually, the program only changes the registry key that defines the photo used for the library background. Although you can do the same operation with a registry editor, using this app is a lot simpler and prevents you from tinkering with the Windows registry.
