Vispect Description

Advertisement Vispect is a Home & Education software developed by Free Software Foundation. After our trial and test, the software is proved to be official, secure and free. Here is the official description for Vispect: EditBy Vispect is a program for preliminary estimation of sulphur dioxide column amounts based on Spectra registered by an Ocean Optics spectrometer. It runs in parallel with your standard program (SP) which Interfaces with the spectrometer and actually records the spectra or spectral files. SP could be OOIBase32, SpectraSuite or DOASIS, recording spectra in STD format. Vispect is designed to provide you with real-time measures of the SO2 column amount levels observed during the spectra acquisition process. Vispect continually searches a directory where your SP is streaming spectra, looking for spectral files. To set the directory, choose "Set Spectrum directory" from the "File" menu. To tell Vispect which file types (OOIBase32, SpectraSuite or DOASIS STD) can be expected to contain spectra, use the Settings dialog. Vispect automatically detects the first dark spectrum in the directory and subtracts the dark current given by this from all other spectra. It then produces a scatter plot of the signals in the SO2 absorption band against the signals out of the SO2 absorption band. It also gives a time plot of the ratio of these signals (out-of-band / in-band) in each collected spectrum. This information can be saved for further Analysis. On the scatter plot, the most recent spectrum is shown by a red dot, as can be seen from the screen-shot below.
