Twitter Proxy is a client for the popular social network that leverages the power of proxy addresses in order to overcome the limitations and restrictions set in your network. Most schools and companies are following the trend of blocking several social networks, in order to create a distraction-free environment for students, respectively employees. Access to Twitter, Facebook and other such platforms is automatically restricted, however, the use of proxy addresses is always an option for those who want to bend the rules. Twitter Proxy is an application that spears you the trouble of manually configuring proxy settings and provides an out-of-the-box alternative that requires no effort whatsoever. It automatically connects itself to the TOR network and retrieves a random proxy address, which is then applied to its inner engine. The result is a limitation-free Twitter explorer. Setting it up is an easy task, since the installation process requires you to press a few ‘Next’ buttons and a desktop shortcut is created, for quick access. The interface resembles somewhat to that of a browser, however, the navigation is limited to Twitter alone, therefore you can’t enter a different address. There’s no difference between the layout and functionality offered by Twitter itself and the browser that Twitter Proxy offers. As such, you will be able to access the news feed, compose new tweets or tweak your account settings. If you feel like the connection is getting heavier and Twitter pages are taking too much too load, it might be the time to reset the proxy address and this can only be done by restarting the application. In conclusion, Twitter Proxy is able to revert the restrictions imposed in your LAN by your employer or school administrator.
