Trivial Proxy Description

Trivial Proxy is a tiny and simple-to-use software application that enables you to monitor the network and log the activity of any program to inspect it at a later time and figure out exactly what it does. Although it may sound easy to work with, the app mostly addresses users with some minimal experience in networking software.Quick setup and user-friendly GUIThe installation procedure takes minimal time and effort to finish, since there are only familiar options available. When it comes to the interface, Trivial Proxy is wrapped in a classical frame with a simple structure, where you can immediately start configuring settings to start the monitoring operation. Configure settings easilyAs far as connection information is concerned, you can specify the local and remote port, along with the remote host. Trivial Proxy shows log activity in the bottom part of the screen and may be set to record it to file as well, a feature which particularly comes in handy if you plan to leave the workstation unattended and study details at a later time. The monitoring service can be immediately stopped with the click of a button and restarted later. Evaluation and conclusionThe app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages in our tests. It has a good response time and runs on low CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the overall performance of the PC. Unfortunately, Trivial Proxy has not been updated for a long time, and it seems to have compatibility issues with later operating systems. It seems that the project has been abandoned, so users should resort to another application for monitoring network activity and logging the information of other programs.
