Traffic Shaper XP Description
Traffic Shaper XP is an application that enables users to manage network traffic, providing them with a set of handy features. At initialization you can use a simple wizard to specify the download and upload capacity, and network adapter (Internet or LAN-facing). The interface is made from a regular window divided into multiple panels, where you can get an overview on the traffic (history, transfer rate, protocol, direction, local and remote address, transferred size, time). In addition, you can create traffic rules by establishing the network adapter, direction, protocol, local and remote endpoint, limiting the speed, as well as by setting its priority and queue size. Statistics show the queue type, transferred size, direction, rule, queue identifier, and quota. You can also log important events of low or medium priority, export rules for further projects, minimize Traffic Shaper XP to the system tray area, create port groups, store frequently used computer addresses, and more. Traffic Shaper XP is low-demanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so it doesn't slow down system performance or interrupt normal activity. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.
