As an example we provide solution for Omega Research ProSuite 2000i (ORP) as a source and MS Excel 2002 as a client application. Technical Details: This product does not use DDE technology. The reason why we decided use RTD instead of DDE is following: DDE servers often try to send messages into user's applications when they are not ready to receive data (for example, application is doing heavy calculations or any Modal Dialog box is opened). This leads to loss of data updates and sometimes even to crashes. RTD technology allows avoid such problems. Main advantage of TickerPro Server is expandability. Using base TickerPro Server functionality and developing additional connectors to the feeds, databases and third-party applications we could easy adjust the product for customers requirements.
