Text Collector Description

Text Collector is a small-sized and portable tool that sports a very simple interface for writing and storing text. It features a handy configuration set that can be easily adjusted. Since there is no setup pack involved, you can put the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and just click it to run. Another option is to save Text Collector to a pen drive or other mass storage device, in order to run it on any PC effortlessly and without previously installing anything. An important factor to take into account is that the app does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, leaving it clean after removal. The user-friendly UI is made from a regular window with a minimalistic structure, where you can start writing notes, to-do lists, tasks and so on. Several options are available in the right-click menu, such as toggling a search function. On URL click, the app can be set to go the link, copy it to the Clipboard, or do nothing. The font and background can be customized as well, while Text Collector is able to automatically save data regularly. Furthermore, you can enable a tool style main window, allow multiple instances, make Text Collector start minimized, as well as configure a keyboard shortcut for showing and hiding the interface. Text Collector is very low-demanding in regard to the CPU and RAM usage, so it does not hog system resources. It is very responsive to commands and works fine, without triggering Windows to hang, crash or pop up error messages.
