TeleViewer Description
TeleViewer provides a user-friendly environment for accessing TV channels from all other the world. Its interface is not particularly attractive but it's well-organized and features handy options for all user levels. The installation procedure is quick and doesn't require any special input. The GUI is based on a single window divided into two sections - for displaying TV channels in a tree view and for playing stream. Several media player controls are available through the toolbar and context menu: you can pause the stream, adjust the volume level or mute it, switch to full screen mode, as well as zoom in and out. The channels in the tree view can be organized and filtered by various criteria. You can edit the properties of an existing TV station, delete it or add a new one to the list by specifying the channel name, category, URL and language. It is also possible to recover deleted channels, rename categories and get statistics (e.g. all deleted and custom channels). This tree view can also be copied to the Clipboard for further scrutiny, with all its branches collapsed or expanded. Moreover, you can customize skin elements (e.g. balloon help background), disable button icons, configure font settings, disable message window sounds, and others. TeleViewer uses a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and RAM, has a good response time and works well. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since the app did not hang or crash.
