TabbedText Format Description

TabbedText Format is an Adobe Photoshop file format plugin that lets you import TabbedText files. TabbedText works on only one channel. If your image is not a bitmap or isn't grayscale, then the filter operates on the first channel of the image, i.e. Red in RGB, Cyan in CMYK, Luminance in LAB. TabbedText Format always imports in 16 bit mode, but will write either 8 or 16 bit images. If you need to read an 8 bit image with TabbedText Format, just use Image->Mode->8 bits/channel from the Photoshop menus to covnert the image to 8 bits.
