TSSniper Description

An MPEG transport stream, also identifiable as MTS or TS, is the standard format that is used by broadcasting systems to store audio, video and PSIP data. TSSniper is a tool created to help you cut the transport streams that contain H-264 or MPEG2 video in a few simple steps. It supports audio track formats such as MPEG1, MPEG2, AC-3, AAC and AAC-HE. With it, you are able to cut transport streams that contain multiple programs but only if the PAT/PMT qualifying descriptions are present in the dump. Unfortunately, the application can’t help you out when it comes to extracting teletext and subtitle tracks. TSSniper displays a more than comprehensive interface which ensures you an intuitive workflow. Its main window is separated into sections that offer you sections for project content, timeline, clip preview window and an area in which you can see details about the start and end durations of the cut. In the ‘Project content’ section, you are able to view the file name and size, type, sample resolution and aspect ratio, while the timeline provides information about the embedded data. To cut a stream all you have to do is load it into the application and use a pair of markers to delimitate the section you want. The markers can be moved across the length of the clip with your mouse and you can add multiple pairs if you want to cut out more than one portion. Once you finished the selection, you export the content within a few clicks anywhere you want on your computer. TSSniper makes the entire stream cutting process as fast and straightforward as possible but that speed applies only to what you actually have to do because the export itself can take a while. In closing, if you’re looking for a simple means of cutting out transport streams from H-264 video, then you can certainly try TSSniper.
