System Temp Monitor Description

System Temp Monitor is a simple widget built for the Yahoo! Widget Engine platform, that uses the log files created by SpeedFan to display system temperature. It is quite easy to install and set up. The interface is based on a small frame that you can move to any position on the screen with the help of the mouse cursor. Plus, you can make it stay on top of other windows at all times. This way, System Temp Monitor becomes unintrusive and you can quickly get a glimpse of it while working in other tools. In order to run this app, you must have SpeedFan installed and make sure the logging feature is enabled. So, you can select the temperatures to display, as well as adjust the information refresh rate. In addition, it is possible to modify SpeedFan's default location, customize the interface when it comes to the widget size, dashboard style and color, as well as make the app ignore mouse events and prevent dragging, thanks to the built-in Yahoo! Widget Engine features. The tool does not put a strain on system performance, as it uses a very light amount of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and delivers accurate information, without causing the OS to hang, crash or show error notifications. All in all, System Temp Monitor comes in handy to all types of users.
