System Control A1 is a simple sidebar gadget that can provide real-time information about the sytsem's uptime, the processor usage and the memory load. It offers users a convenient way to keep an eye on these important parameters, in order to avoid CPU overloading and screen freezes. Once installed, the gadget displays its main window onto the desktop, enabling you to drag and drop it to whatever place you want. It has no configuration options whatsoever, so you just have to launch it in order to get information at a glance about your system. System Control A1 integrates a small digital clock that shows the current system time, alongside a timer that enables you to view the time that passed since the last restart or reboot. With a single click, you can reset the timer. The gadget displays a graphical representation (histogram) of the CPU load for the last 30 seconds, enabling you to keep an eye on its evolution. The gadget is compatible with single core CPUs, but it can also handle processing units with up to 8 cores. The memory usage is also monitored by System Control A1, which shows you the available and the used RAM in numbers and graphically, as a progress bar. Although it is a small gadget, System Control A1 can prove to be a useful monitoring application for the most important components of your computer, namely the CPU and the RAM memory, enabling you to detect possible problems that slowdown the system.
