Super midi scripter is an interesting midi scripting vsti created for windows compatible hosts. It acts as a relay between the host and the instrument. The scripting engine allows to design midi effects,filters or instruments directly at the runtime inside the vst environment or when using the standalone version and the vsti midi data client.Super midi scripter is a simple tool which helps into recording data inside a midi sequencer: event filtering, event transformation, sequencing are the common tasks Super midi scripter can be used for. The plugin is provided with a basic library of instruments that can be used directly, almost without messing with scripting, but they'll give all the fundamentals to create your own midi processors: Chords : most common chords that can be trigged by playing the root note ( "single finger chord" ) Force : constrain note messages to a particular scale on a defined root CMaj : transpose Cmaj to a particular scale at a defined root ( adapted from "DoMaj" plugin) Arp: various arpegiators Various others scripts, such as : splitters, auto-generators. Scripting allows to design uncommon midi processors. From a single midi events (or from a "song position change" event) the plugin is able to send up to 130 simultaneous new (or transormed) events. It means that it's possible to program a whole song in a script.The most important when scripting can is "abstraction".Why ? Because musical ideas must be transposed into code, instead of grid events.
