Splitter Description
Splitter is a straightforward piece of kit whose goal is to divide files into multiple, smaller parts, in order to prepare them for storage on various devices, such as pen drives. It comes equipped with a standard set of options that can be fiddled with even by users with no kind of experience in such software. After a brief and uneventful setup procedure, you are greeted by a user-friendly interface, consisted of a small window with a clean structure, where you can get started by selecting the file you want to process, using either the file browser or drag-and-drop support. After pointing out the saving directory, you can establish the maximum size for each split file (MB or KB), as well as ask the tool to create a batch or EXE joiner file. Evidently, it features a function for joining the cut files as well. In order to do this, all you have to do is specify the first part (all the other pieces must be in the same location). The process is carried out quickly and effortlessly. Splitter uses a very low quantity of CPU and RAM, so it does not hog system resources. Since it can be minimized to the system tray area, it does not interrupt normal user activity either. We have not come across any issues in our testing, since the program did not hang or crash. A small help file is available. All in all, Splitter delivers a simple solution to anyone looking to seamlessly split and merge files, without configuring complicated settings.
