Sourcerer Description

Sourcerer was designed to be a simple sound editor for the Access Virus C primarily for sight impaired folks. Useful for people who either cannot read the Virus menus or cannot use the mouse, thus Sound Diver is not an option. IT includes only those parameters that you don't have front panel controls for or whose shifted knob shortcuts are difficult to perform. Examples include: the modulation matrix, velocity and LFO modulations, detailed oscillator parameters and the OS 6 analog filter modes. I've taken the liberty to slightly alter the parameter names to my taste, considering speech and navigation, and expand out abbreviationss. Usage is as follows. Run a MIDI through app to play your virus say your sequencer or Hubi's loop back. Go to single mode on channel 1, which is currently hard-coded. Then select the init patch C127 in the Virus and launch the editor. choose a MIDI output in there and use the category, parameter and value list boxes to alter the parameters while testing the sound by playing the VIrus. When editing is no longer needed, hit alt+f4 or the exit button to quit the app. Tips - Note that you can use all the conventional list box navigation shortcuts in the app unlike in sound diver such as: type in one or more letters, press page up/down, home/end, up/down, use tab and shift+tab and so on. - For convenience, the editor will recall the selected parameter within a category as well as the last value you set via the editor, for a particular parameter. - As far as screen reader usage goes, even Narrator should be able to read the screen correctly, since there are only standard basic contros in the app, namely lists and a button within a dialog.
