As its title suggests, SolveigMM AVI Trimmer + MKV is a program designed to help you cut pieces from AVI and MKV videos. This kind of tool is necessary the moment you want to cut clips from movies and share them online or store them on removable devices. The software comes with a sleek and simple-to-use interface in which you can import an AVI or MKV file by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. So, you can play the file in a built-in media player and select fragments to cut by marking the starting and ending point. In addition, you can copy the audio or video stream only, cut multiple fragments and invert them, play the selected fragment and save it after specifying the output destination. In the "Settings" menu you can disable autostart scene detection, to confirm adding overlapped fragments and hints after adding a new interval. The video cutter runs on a high amount of system resources (mostly due to the graphical elements of the interface), includes a complete help file and quickly finishes a task without alerting us of any errors. The biggest advantage of SolveigMM AVI Trimmer + MKV is the fact that it allows you to cut multiple fragments. Unfortunately, you cannot set the tool to cut all of them consecutively.
