Secret Shield Encryption Description

Encrypting important files may seem like a daunting task but Secret Shield Encryption (SSE) has been created to prove otherwise. It relies on the PGP asymmetric public-key infrastructure, which is considered one of the best ways to protect information. Interface and functionality The application has been designed with the beginner user in mind so simplicity of the layout plays an important role. The ribbon bar sports big buttons for easy navigation from one component to another and to notice at a glance which of them is currently active. Apart from offering strong encryption algorithms for protecting data and the possibility to scramble plain text, SSE also doubles as an encryption key creator and manager. It can also import existing keys. The list of supported algorithms is quite extensive and includes standards such as AES (128, 192 and 256) Blowfish, Twofish 256-bit, DES and Triple DES. As far as the type of keys it can generate, there is RSA and ElGamal (up to 4096) as well as Elliptic Curve (P-256, P-384 and P-521). Among the hash functions that can be used there is SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, MD5 and RIPEMD-160. Working with the program Because of the intuitive layout users should not have too much trouble handling the application. Key creation is carried out quickly and little time is spent on applying the encryption algorithm to the desired files. For users that still need some help with understanding some of the features there is sufficient documentation available, with thorough and easy to understand explanations about what each function does. Conclusion Despite being a program that tackles an area rather difficult to grasp, Secret Shield Encryption manages to turn the entire operation of encrypting the data into a simple task that can be carried out even by beginners.
