SecRep PowerDown Description

The PowerDown application will let you take control of your computer shutdown event and run any programs you want before shutdown, logoff, reboot, hibernate, suspend or poweroff. PowerDown allows you to do all of this with one click or through the use of pre-determined hot keys. When you use PowerDown to shutdown your computer a message screen will be displayed telling you the shutdown options and if any tasks are scheduled to run. During the time the message is displayed you can hit the "Enter" key to stop the shutdown and/or any tasks that are to be run. The default time is 5 seconds. Once any scheduled tasks have begun the "Enter" key will no longer work, but you can still cancel the tasks and shutdown event by clicking on the "Cancel All Tasks" button on the form or using the "Ctrl + Alt + Space" hot key. This allows you to run a file cleaning program, backup program or any other program you want before shutting down and still have control over the events.
